Solange - Kenya
2011 is looking like an amazing year for music. Despite world wide tragedy and chaos, we need a revolution and it's nice to see artists are stepping up to the plate to make that possible. I ran across this video by Solange earlier this evening, and I love it. Her voice is unique to her, and she doesn't conform, she fines with making music she loves. This track was made for the RAIN a foundation that provides clean waters and sanitation for Kenya's most needy.

Kevin Mackintosh x Photography
These photographs of this beautiful african woman are stunning. The fashions are simply tasteful, and the bright colors accentuate her beautiful complexion. I miss the dear beach also. I'm looking forward to feeling the sun on my skin again. For more visit here

Gregory Porter x Illusions
This is absolutely beautiful, from time to time I sleep on jazz. I should be ashamed becaus it's practically the root of every beautiful song i've came to love in my life time. Enjoy this beautiful piece from Gregory Porter. The video is simple and yet so meaningful.
Benjamin Lowy x Conflict and Devastation
All of these shots by Benjamin Lowy are inccredible. He went to extreme lengths and risks to capture these moments in areas of devastation. They touch my heart because more than anything I just want peace on earth. Sounds a tad bit Miss America cliche, but it's genuine. Here are some photos from Afganistan and Haiti. Warning, the images on his site may touch your heart, they practically made me sick to my stomache because nobody deserves to live like that, we americans complain about anything, when we already have everything. Lets give more, and spread peace. Instead of pushing for conflict.
